Help-U-Sell® Real Estate Launches Web-Based Mobile Application, New Broker Websites

Sarasota, Fla. – Set-fee real estate company Help-U-Sell® Real Estate continues to improve its technology tools for its franchisees and their clients. The company has launched an innovative web-based mobile application, which will function on any mobile device, and a new website design for the company’s franchisees will debut on March 1.

The application is not technically an app but a cross-platform compatible, HTML5-based mobile site that creates an app-like experience for the user.

“We chose to go this route because it is quicker and more cost-effective to maintain than an iPhone app, mobile users are redirected to the site automatically – users don’t need to search for and download it – and we can create many more user functions than we can in an app,” said Robert Stevens, Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s Chief Technology Officer.

An icon can be added to users’ phone screens for quick launch, just like an app. iPhone users can access the app now by visiting from their phones’ browsers. The Android and iPad versions will be rolled out over the next few weeks.

As part of its new technology efforts, Help-U-Sell Real Estate has also redesigned its franchisees’ broker websites.

The new website, designed and maintained in-house, will feature a search bar that combines an intelligent search and a filtered search. Users will be able to type in the city, state, zip code or MLS number they’re interested in and choose from drop-down menus for property type, property status (for sale, for rent, foreclosure, etc.), number of bedrooms and number of bathrooms. The user can also enter a price range and the desired search radius from his chosen city (or cities).

Brokers will have control over their sites, being able to change the top-level navigation names, the available filters and the localized content, such as videos.

The sites officially launch March 1, but the Help-U-Sell Greensboro office was selected to test the new template early. Users can access the site at

“We are looking forward to how our new website will make it even easier for buyers and sellers to search for properties,” said Cheryl Bailey of Help-U-Sell Greensboro. “Its new clean, sleek design is extremely professional and very user-friendly. The website is not only a great tool for property searches, but is a great resource for real estate and financing knowledge.”

Created 36 years ago, the Help-U-Sell Real Estate model was the pioneer for providing an alternative to the dated commission structure, something that had gone uncontested for years in a market overrun by a monopoly of traditional brokerage firms. Help-U-Sell Real Estate forged a revolution in the real estate industry by proactively challenging the commission structure, and has continued to perfect its full-service set-fee model today. Franchise Business Review recently named Help-U-Sell Real Estate to its Franchisee Satisfaction Awards list for 2012, based on surveys sent to current broker/owners.
