Help-U-Sell® Real Estate Offices Increase Listings and Sales During Franchise-wide Contest

Sarasota, Fla. – Help-U-Sell® Real Estate, a set-fee real estate franchisor, effected a 17 percent year-over-year increase in new property listings and closed property sales during a four-month national contest. The Winter Warm-Up Contest ran from Nov. 1, 2011, through Feb. 29, 2012, typically the least productive time of year in the real estate industry.

“The improving numbers are not only attributable to an improving market,” said James Dingman, Help-U-Sell Real Estate’s chief development officer. “They also reflect the energy Help-U-Sell brokers brought to our Winter Warm-Up Contest. As the weeks ticked by, competition among our offices ramped up, and we saw improvement in our key performance indicators. Our Help-U-Sell brokers are not just entrepreneurs, they are also salespeople and there’s nothing like a little friendly competition to get salespeople to outperform themselves.”

The contest rewarded performance in new listings taken, closed buyer sides and listings sold. The top three overall winners were determined by adding up points allotted for each new listing, closed buyer side and listing sold. The offices with the most points in each of the individual categories also won prizes. However, offices that finished in the top three overall were not eligible to win in individual categories. Prizes consisted of franchise administration fees and button-up shirts with the Help-U-Sell Real Estate logo.

Due to a tie, seven Help-U-Sell Real Estate offices around the country won prizes. The top overall winners were Help-U-Sell Honolulu Properties, Pennsylvania-based Help-U-Sell Detwiler Realty and Help-U-Sell Heritage Real Estate in Minnesota. Alabama’s Help-U-Sell Quad Cities Realty earned the prizes in the new listings category. Two Arizona offices tied for most closed buyer sides: Help-U-Sell Galleria Realty and Help-U-Sell Real Estate Specialists. Help-U-Sell Select Services, located in Florida, had the most listings sold during the contest period.

Created 36 years ago, the Help-U-Sell Real Estate model was the pioneer for providing an alternative to the dated commission structure, something that had gone uncontested for years in a market overrun by a monopoly of traditional brokerage firms. Help-U-Sell Real Estate forged a revolution in the real estate industry by proactively challenging the commission structure, and has continued to perfect its full-service set-fee model today. Franchise Business Review recently named Help-U-Sell Real Estate to its Franchisee Satisfaction Awards list for 2012, based on surveys sent to current broker/owners.
